AIM4FRAIL
According to the WHO, depression is one of the leading causes of disability worldwide and is associated with a significant unmet therapeutic need. Globally, only one in four people affected by major depression receives timely and appropriate care following diagnosis; half of patients have to wait more than three months before accessing psychological therapies, and 10% wait more than one year for an appointment. During this period, 40% of individuals engage in self-harming behaviours and one in six patients attempts suicide.
The AIM4FRAIL project proposes a technological solution based on the latest Artificial Intelligence technologies, capable of personalising and anticipating, as much as possible, the management of depressive episodes in frail and at-risk individuals.
