"VITA" – Valutazione Integrata Tecnologica per Anziani

VITA is positioned within the healthcare services macro-area, with a specific focus on ICT for health. The project proposes a digital model for integrated home care, combined with tele-visit and telerehabilitation models, as defined by the Ministerial Decree of 24 April 2022 and by the national guidelines on telemedicine platforms issued by Agenas. VITA is an innovative system based on Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse for the assessment and monitoring of frail older adults.

The technology platform provides an integrated analysis of data collected through digital technologies, enabling a more accurate and personalised assessment of older adults' health and improving the quality of care.

Given its characteristics, the project is expected to generate cross-sector impact across other areas and innovation pathways, particularly within Active & Healthy Ageing, with technologies designed to support active ageing and home care.

In this context, the contribution of AI-based infrastructures extends to other technological domains, including IoT, Cloud, Big Data, Machine Learning, Analytics, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. This gives the project a cross-cutting role, with the potential to positively influence the healthcare industry and open up new opportunities for economic development at both national and international level.
